All accessory recipes: material, station and farm cost
Accessories are the real progression system in Terraria, and they are also the reason most players stall. You need one specific item, which drops from one specific place, at a one-in-three chance, roughly two hundred times before you can afford the crafts you want. This table exists to compress that into a route.
Filter by how you get it
| Accessory | What it does | Source | Material / cost | Station |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Shiny Red Balloon | Carry a second balloon | Traveling Merchant | 100 Silver | — |
| Hermes Boots | Double jump, faster run | Hermes Shell drop | Hermes Shell + Chain | Anvil |
| Starfury | Boomerang sword | Craftable | Souls of Light + Stardust | Anvil |
| Ankh Shield | Blocks projectiles, no knockback | Craftable | Tabula Fatua + 10 Chains | Loom |
| Bouncy Boulder | Summons a rolling boulder | Craftable | Encoded block + Fallen Star | Loom |
How to plan a single farming run
Most players waste time by farming one item, then another, then a third. Group them by biome instead. Every accessory above has a source that lives in one of four places — the desert, the underworld, the sky, or a dungeon. If you decide which of those four you are standing in, the accessory list collapses from twenty entries to three or four.
- List every accessory you still want.
- Sort the list by source biome.
- Plan one trip per biome, and take the other drops while you are there.
- Stop when the list is empty — accessory farming is the single easiest way to burn a Terraria evening for nothing.
